Things that are permanent in America. Homelessness, poverty, slave workers, racism, ignorance, indoctrination, lack of healthcare, lack of affordable education, no living wage, lifelong debt, debt, war, kids going to bed hungry, sex work and drugs being criminal offenses, illusion of elections, no real freedoms, government owned media, imperialistic terrorism in the world, drone attacks, hatred of and stupidity about socialism… so when you say the pledge of allegiance, if you can bring yourself to do it, say it with all the satirical, mocking and understanding that it’s all lies.
